Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)

Das DBA-Programm richtet sich an Studierende, die nach einem erfolgreichen Bachelor- und Masterstudium noch einen Schritt weitergehen wollen. Sie vertiefen in einem drei- bis vierjährigen Programm ein individuelles Dissertationsthema und schliessen das Doktorat bei unserer Partneruniversität Audencia Business School ab. With a Master’s degree from HWZ, you may apply to our DBA program. This offers you a straightforward approach to your dissertation. Depending on the individual situation, you may be able to finish the DBA within three to four years.

Who should do a DBA?

Professionals seeking business careers as independent experts, consultants, heads of research centres or heads of educational institutions.Individuals interested in writing research reports, academic articles, books or guidelines. People interested in leading teams of researchers, academics and experts. People interested in research methods, business analysis, development of new concepts, analytic modelling and data analysis

Admission requirements

Bachelor and Master degree (Master of Science, Master of Arts, EMBA, MBA). A MAS degree does not qualify for the DBA program
Five years leadership experience (project and/or line management)
English skills (test result or native speaker)
Submission of a research proposal (NB: Any DBA project has to relate to aspects of sustainability)
Resident in Switzerland

Partner Audencia Business School

Our partner Audencia offers the DBA Program to suit the lifestyle of executives wishing to combine their practical expertise with the highest level of management training. Studying on the DBA is flexible as participants can choose to take courses online or face to face at the Audencia Paris campus. Audencia’s experienced DBA faculty delivers courses and seminars at the Audencia campus in Paris over weekends. Participants have the choice to join in person or online. The taught courses enable participants to develop their skills in management research and to engage with cutting-edge research topics and themes in different management domains. Participants develop advanced management research competencies during the first part of the program through taught courses, enabling them to continue to develop the research for their doctoral thesis under the supervision of HWZ and Audencia faculty.
