The CAS International Compliance Management HWZ covers the key international compliance topics relevant to organisations and their leaders. These include data protection, artificial intelligence, cyber security, cross-border financial services and business activities, tax transparency, sustainability regulation, corporate governance, international sanctions, and anti-money laundering.
Applicants are expected to have several years of professional experience in a compliance or management role, as well as a good command of written and spoken English. As the programme is taught in English, you should be comfortable participating in discussions and working with English-language specialist literature.
The CAS International Compliance Management provides you with in-depth expertise in compliance while strengthening your leadership skills for roles in highly regulated industries such as financial services, pharmaceuticals and insurance.
The programme prepares you for specialist and leadership positions as well as roles in internationally active organisations. With its focus on international regulation, it also equips you for responsibilities involving cross-border business activities and can support career opportunities abroad.
The programme is taught in English. Subject to approval by the Programme Director, assessments may also be completed in German.
This programme provides in-depth knowledge and practical skills for compliance professionals as well as aspiring and experienced leaders. It focuses on international compliance requirements and their practical implementation, particularly in industries such as banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals and commodity trading.
Another key focus is the use of emerging technologies. You will learn how modern compliance tools are applied and how to identify and effectively manage risks related to artificial intelligence, digitalisation and cyber security.

This CAS is part of the following degree programs.
University degree or higher education qualification plus at least three years of professional experience in the field of compliance. Other equivalent qualifications with at least five years of relevant practical experience may be considered as part of an exceptional admission procedure.
Admission to one or more CAS programs is independent of possible admission to the MAS program. This is assessed separately.
