The connecting interface between studying at HWZ and professional life. Our bachelor’s and MSc students benefit from the comprehensive services offered by the Career Centre, which supports them in showcasing their skills, making valuable contacts, and developing further to prepare optimally for their professional future.
The career services include individual career coaching, a career day, the internal job portal, as well as additional services specifically designed to support the transition from study to the world of work. These offerings sustainably enhance your employability and provide you with significant added value, as we support and accompany you not only in your academic pursuits but also in your professional development.
Career day
The career day takes place once a year in the spring. On this day, you have the opportunity to attend a range of workshops. These are designed to prepare you for the changing world of work and to support you as you take your next career steps. Participation is free of charge for all HWZ students. AI and careers
This offering is updated annually and supplemented with changing content – for example, on current topics such as AI, market positioning, and other developments relevant to professional practice.
Career coaching
We offer all interested students individual modules in the area of career coaching. As a student, you decide for yourself which coaching sessions you would like to take advantage of. Possible topics include, for example:
CV and optimisation of application documents
Assessment of current position and personal career planning
Clarifying objectives and supporting their achievement
Preparation for job interviews
Reflection on strengths, skills and development potential
Guidance during career changes or reorientation
Developing your personal positioning in the job market

Job portal
We operate a job portal where companies can advertise their vacancies with us. This portal is also accessible exclusively to you as HWZ students via myHWZ. In this way, you benefit from direct job postings from a range of companies.
