An EMBA degree and a company in the cannabis market?

“The EMBA provided me with the framework and methods to implement the idea in a structured way,” says Luc Richner, founder of Cannavigia and graduate of the EMBA Digital Leadership at HWZ. With Cannavigia, he developed software that brings transparency to the entire cannabis supply chain – from cultivation to sale. During his studies, he was able to apply concrete projects directly to his start-up, from validating the business model to conducting market analyses. In this way, his vision for a highly regulated industry took shape and gained the trust of future stakeholders. In the interview, Luc explains how Cannavigia came about and how he has continued to develop his company.

Between Family, Leadership and Further Education

“I try to experiment as much as possible, rather than declaring something impossible from the outset,” says Simone Koch, team leader for climate incentives at Renera AG and graduate of the EMBA Digital Leadership at HWZ. As a mother, manager and student, she combines a range of different roles. In this interview, Simone shares how she manages this, the parallels she sees between motherhood and leadership, and what can discourage women from embarking on further study.
