How do you develop an application from the ground up? How does (generative) artificial intelligence work, and how can it be used effectively and sustainably? Which business strategies are promising in the digital economy, and how can I successfully lead a project to completion?
Over the course of four years, you will engage with these questions and many other, gaining in-depth expertise in software engineering, AI and data science, business and leadership.
The degree programme is divided into a basic study period and a main study period, and the final year offers a specialised major of your choice.
In the subject of software engineering subject area, you will learn how easy it can be to get started with programming today. You will begin with the essential fundamentals of computer science and become familiar with the Python programming language. The main phase of your studies focuses on app development. Step by step, you will be introduced to software development, covering topics such as front-end and back-end logic, APIs and cloud technologies, and IT security. By the end of the main study period, you will have developed a prototype application for an external client.
In the ‘AI & Data Science’ subject area, you will learn to think in a data-driven way and to apply technologies for processing data using artificial intelligence. You will gain an understanding of both the opportunities and challenges presented by (generative) artificial intelligence. In addition, you will gain numerous insights into the practical application of AI in today’s business environment.
Traditional, non-digital business models are now reaching their limits in almost every sector.
