For the bachelor’s degree programmes, German language skills at the level of ‘Goethe Zertifikat C1’ (central intermediate-level exam) are required.
For applicants whose native language is not German or who have completed their school education in whole or in part abroad in a non-German-speaking country, a corresponding certificate/diploma at the level of ‘Goethe Zertifikat C1’ or an equivalent qualification may be required for admission to a Bachelor’s programme taught in German.
If you have a vocational or secondary school leaving certificate, this provides proof of your English language skills. If you have a different type of leaving certificate or other prior education, you must demonstrate English language skills at the B2 level in accordance with the European Reference Framework.
To study at HWZ, students need a laptop or a mobile device with a camera. In the interests of effective and efficient teaching in IT-based modules, HWZ requires certain technical skills as entry requirements, such as the ability to use online conference systems (Teams, Zoom) or practical skills in the use of the most common PC applications (especially Office applications).
New HWZ students need to ensure that they have this knowledge at the beginning of their studies.
