Dr. Urs Jäckli

Prof. Dr. Urs Jäckli studied Business Administration at HWZ and, following his consecutive master's degree—also at HWZ and in collaboration with the University of Southern Queensland—completed his doctorate on the topic of «Stakeholder Integration and Stakeholder Trust in Alpine Tourism in Switzerland». Since 2018, he has been active at HWZ as a programme director, as well as in research and teaching. In 2022, Prof. Dr. Urs Jäckli took on the role of co-head of the Department of Education, which he has led in full since 2024. At the end of May 2026, the title «Professor HWZ» was conferred upon him by the University of Applied Sciences Council. This distinction recognises his many years of achievement in teaching, practice and university development, as well as his significant commitment to HWZ.
Prof. Dr. Urs Jäckli has several years of experience in product management, key account management, and executive leadership across various industries, including tourism, payment services, and insurance. He has been responsible for both national and international divisions, as well as for the restructuring and management of a Swiss tourism trade fair.
