Prof. Dr Brian P. Rüeger has been president of HWZ since October 2024. Previously, he led the Institute for Marketing Management (IMM) at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) for over a decade. Under his leadership, the institute became the largest provider of university-level marketing continuing education in Switzerland.
For his outstanding achievements, Prof. Dr Rüeger was recognised in 2022 by ACEEU International as the “Male Entrepreneurial Leader of the Year” (Runner-up), and his institute received the “Best Performing Team Award”. Prior to his role at the IMM, he was a serial entrepreneur and, among other activities, integrated a globally operating Swiss high-tech start-up into a publicly listed American company. Prof. Dr Rüeger holds a degree in economics and completed his doctorate at the University of Zurich in 2015, specialising in service orientation and service innovations.
