HWZ and Launch Control | Supporting Start-ups and Entrepreneurship
HWZ and Launch Control are entering into a strategic partnership. HWZ students and staff will now benefit from Launch Control’s professional start-up support programmes. This collaboration supports aspiring entrepreneurs and provides innovative business ideas with a solid foundation for getting started.
The new partnership between HWZ and Launch Control – the start-up support programme – will offer HWZ students and staff exciting opportunities from next spring: members of HWZ will be able to take part in Launch Control’s “Bring Your Idea to Life” programme with their own business ideas. They will benefit from the expertise and network of an experienced incubator, enabling them to optimise their business plan and prepare for initial discussions with investors. Shared objectives and future direction
HWZ is planning, in the medium term, to allow individuals without an existing business idea to participate in the Launch Control programme and to offer a ‘matchmaking’ service for co-founders at HWZ. In addition, the programme is to be expanded to include a design thinking workshop for idea development, thereby making it accessible to an even broader target group.
Synergies between business and education
The partnership is an important step towards strengthening synergies between business and education. Raphael Tobler from Launch Control explains:

Launch Control
The start-up support programme Launch Control is an initiative of the Home of Innovation, designed to assist start-ups on their path to success. Through the incubator “Bring Your Idea to Life”, it supports (aspiring) founders in the early stages, while the accelerator “Boost Your Business” strengthens start-ups in the growth and scaling phase with its extensive network of experts.
