23.10.2025: HumanXAI
The last HWZ Empowers was all about the question of how we can not only use artificial intelligence, but also consciously shape it. In keynotes and breakout sessions, it became clear: it’s not about machines, but about people – about responsibility, creativity and attitude in a future shaped by AI.
28.11.2024: AI as a key technology in everyday life
On Thursday, 28 November 2024, the HWZ campus was transformed into a stage for innovation and inspiration with the event “HWZ Empowers – driven by AI”. Over 100 participants immersed themselves in the fascinating world of artificial intelligence and experienced exciting keynotes, practical and interactive breakout sessions that impressively demonstrated the transformative power of AI for everyday life and work.
8.11.2023: Being brave means having a heart
At the five-year anniversary of HWZ Empowers, around 100 participants attended and were inspired by the courageous stories of the speakers, Daniela Dunne, Giulia Tonelli, Andreia Fernandes, and Florian Wieser.
2.3.2023: Let’s get it started!
Under the motto “New Start,” HWZ Empowers encouraged participants in the 9th edition to adopt new, as yet unknown behaviors and to recognize and break existing patterns. The breakout sessions by Cornelia Birta, Angela Mygind, Thomas Schneider and Murielle Roschi showed that we all have the opportunity to change things immediately with little effort.

7.4.2022: Strengthened and confident for the future
On Thursday, 7 April 2022, HWZ Empowers took place under the motto “Me, Myself and I”. Around 100 participants learned in the three breakout sessions led by Stefanie Céline Fehr, Karin Jeker Weber and Hugo Bigi what it means to build a strategic network, why personal branding has nothing to do with over-the-top self-promotion and how to make a powerful impression.
23.9.2021: HWZ empowers – Just do it!
On Thursday, 23 September 2021, the HWZ Empowers event finally took place in person again. The focus of this edition was on the topic of self-employment. As a result, there were many attendees in the audience who had either recently become self-employed or were considering becoming self-employed.

22.10.2020: HWZ empowers: The Question of “Why”
The fourth edition of HWZ Empowers took place on Thursday, 22 October 2020. Selma Kuyas began her breakout session on the topic of “Pimp your CV” with the question “Why do you do what you do?” This “why” was the thread that ran through the entire event. In the session on “Lean Management,” Oliver Keller and Monika Häcki explained why it is so important to take a closer look at yourself and pointed out the invisible side of decision-making. Verena Tschudi concluded the event with a session on “Success through Mind Management” and showed how success is created in the mind.
24.10.2019: HWZ empowers: Take a chance and seize opportunities!
On 24 October 2019, the third HWZ Empowers event took place with over 100 participants. Ladina Heimgartner, Jacqueline Krause Blouin and Delila Kurtovic spoke about unique career paths, stumbling blocks, challenges and role models in professional life. The event was moderated by Sasha Rosenstein, and Alessandra Willi provided a concise summary of the event.
16.5.2019: HWZ empowers: 70 strong women exchange ideas
On Thursday, 16 May 2019, the second HWZ Empowers event took place. The 70 participants worked in small groups to identify their strengths, improve their assertiveness and take control of their financial independence./
20.9.2018: HWZ empowers: A concentrated dose of female power
Yesterday, HWZ Empowers, the event that helps women to progress, took place for the first time. It was quickly sold out, and one hundred interested women and one man attended. The experts Wies Bratby, Sabina Weber Sauser and Tali Zimmerman-Baer addressed the topics of finance & provision, negotiation and career planning in break-out sessions.
