Strategy & staff department

Ensuring and continuously improving quality at HWZ is both a leadership responsibility and a shared commitment across the university. Quality is treated as a guiding principle in how HWZ is managed, and everyone contributes through their role and expertise.

Quality assurance strategy

HWZ’s quality assurance strategy is guided by the following principles:

  • Quality means delivering services efficiently and effectively—and therefore sustainably—in line with HWZ’s remit, requirements and standards, and with the needs of its stakeholders.

  • Quality assurance and quality development are ongoing tasks, embedded systematically across HWZ and shaped in dialogue with stakeholders.

  • Quality objectives, management and monitoring are informed by qualitative and quantitative data gathered through appropriate methods.

  • A constructive feedback culture is an essential part of HWZ’s quality culture. It supports learning, dialogue and continuous improvement.

  • Measures are implemented consistently by those responsible, aligned with agreed objectives, and reviewed transparently using indicators.

  • Results are reported at regular intervals and, where needed, adjustments are made—closing the quality cycle.
