Dr. Nadine Eve Rusch-Schenker

Head of Department Banking & Finance, Controlling and Real Estate

Dr Nadine Eve Rusch-Schenker has been Head of the Department of Banking & Finance, Controlling and Real Estate at HWZ since January 2025. She completed her doctorate in management at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) under co-supervision with the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.

Most recently, she worked as a senior lecturer and affiliated researcher at HSG. In this role, her research focused on corporate strategy, transformation, and turnaround management, and she led numerous strategy and business development projects for clients in the finance, real estate, and infrastructure sectors.

Previously, as Executive Director, she was responsible for the transformation and management of the General Management master's degree programme, one of the largest master's programmes at HSG, with over 450 students and more than 50 lecturers.

Her teaching activities encompassed strategic management, corporate strategy, business development, M&A, as well as restructuring and turnaround management at both bachelor’s and master’s level, as well as in executive education.

Before embarking on her academic career, Dr Rusch-Schenker held senior positions in international corporations such as CBRE, Johnson Controls, and SBB Immobilien. In these roles, she was responsible for international, cross-functional strategy and transformation programmes. With over 18 years of experience, she combines international management practice with academic research to successfully shape strategies and transformation processes at the interface between academia and industry.
