Center for Financial Studies
The Center for Financial Studies is geared to the needs in the areas of Banking & Finance and covers the following subject areas: Investment Management (Corporate Finance, Asset and Portfolio Management), Bank Management and Controlling, Retirement and Financial Planning, and Digitalization of the Financial Industry.
Objectives and tasks
The Center is responsible for teaching at the Bachelor’s level and in the continuing education sector. It encompasses a broad range of specialist competencies that are strongly practice- and application-oriented.

The privately owned, state-recognized since 1998 Steinbeis University has become the largest private university in Germany with over 8,000 students. With its unique integrated and part-time study programs, Steinbeis University consistently pursues a transfer-oriented approach.
Accreditation
The external Accreditation Agency FIBAA accredited the degree program MAS Banking & FinanceHWZ accredited in the summer of 2014 without any conditions. This gives this Master’s program an additional seal of quality. The FIBAA specifically commended the support for students and the practical knowledge of the teaching staff, among other things. A high proportion of supervised distance learning makes the program unique.
